Laptop Toshiba Pentium

model is L455-S5008. tell me about the keyboard and the memeory the latop is sell for 429 dollar
I’ve had a Satellite for about 7 years (XP) and I find the peripherals to be somewhat substandard.
For instance the keyboard: I’ve replaced that 4 times and the letters are painted on, not impregnated into the plastic, which means they rub off after some use…not terrible if you know the “touch” method, but can be annoying when trying to do some passphrase work.
Also, the CD-RW drive works about half the time like it’s supposed to.
But as far as ‘under the hood’ it runs XP like a scalded dog and does all the correct shutdown schemes, power schemes and so on just fine.
IMHO I think buying any brand or model is about a 50/50 chance of getting a lemon or a nugget…none are perfect, so just get what you can afford and use with care.
