how do you erase a computers hardrive without buying a new one?
does deleteing the recovery partition on the hard drive do the trick?
For ordinary people yes !! delete the partition cannot recover the data at the HDD.
But…………………….
For professional data recovery man, Even deleting the partition they can read your data one by one almost 55 to 97 % they can recovery the data and they sell it…
search and Download the eraser manager will erase (at www.download.com) your important data. there is a pay and free program you can chose.
This program erase your data with their method (I’m forget what is the method name)… and no one can recover it
But you can not erase entire harddrive using this program because this program running under the windows.
so just erase your personal important data
but if you want to erase your entire HDD this is the way:
1. Remove your HDD, and change it to slave mode by change the jumper position on the back of HDD (there are sticker that will guide you)
2. Set your HDD in your computer friend.
3. If your friend doesn’t have the eraser manager, install it, and erase your harddrive using your computer friend.
4. But this method is make a very very long time to wait……
that why…. never sell your computer with the HDD, even it is broken……
so before you play with the partition…
This is my suggestion:
it is easier to re install the windows with the fresh copier, in the windows installation you can remove the old partition and create & set the new partition easily and also install the windows…….
